If you wanna be pure caster, sorc/miracles/hexes, you need 64 int and 65 faith or something like that to cast every spell in the game (ignoring incensing spells to lower stat req). You need to constantly be raising int/faith in order to gain access to higher level spells. Well, if you are a spellcaster.leveling is your lifeblood. Farming souls early like that you are just wasting time.
